The French astrologer is known amongst his followers as a foreteller for significant historical events
Even though Nostradamus has been dead for 458 years, his predictions are still being interpreted by his followers – and they reckon we’re in for a rough 2025.
The French astrologer, born as Michel de Nostredame, marked his name in the history books with Les Prophéties – a collection of predictions – back in 1555.
Although the English print version is only 179 pages, many have interpreted his words to predict upcoming contemporary world events.

While some see him as a genius, many just think he’s being deliberately vague.
And before 2024 comes to a close, there’s still three big predictions which are yet to supposedly happen – so watch this space.
Either way, here are five predictions for 2025 and some will come as a bit of a shock, The Standard reports.
A war in England and the return of the plague
Nostradamus predicted that the UK would see a great plague as well as a huge war, writing: “When those from the lands of Europe, see England set up her throne behind. Her flanks, there will be cruel wars.
“The kingdom will be marked by wars so cruel, foes from within and without will arise. A great pestilence from the past returns, no enemy more deadly under the skies.”
It’s the last thing we need at this point.

Conflict in global politics
The astrologer believes that ‘great powers will clash’ and some think this is a nod to what is currently going on in politics, with the threat of nuclear war.
He says there will be ‘a decrease in the influence of established Western countries and the emergence of new world powers’.
However, it isn’t all bad as Nostradamus notes there will be ‘significant improvements in illness prevention and treatment’.
That’s something, at least.
The Ukraine and Russia war comes to and end
The Ukraine–Russia war escalated when Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022.
“Through long war all the army exhausted, so that they do not find money for the soldiers; instead of gold or silver, they will come to coin leather, Gallic brass, and the crescent sign of the Moon,” Nostradamus writes.
Some believe that references to ‘the crescent sign of the Moon’ and ‘Gallic brass’ suggests that France and Turkey could be involved in settling the dispute.

End of world
It doesn’t look like we’ll get to enjoy any of the good things next year as Nostradamus also predicts a massive asteroid destroying the world.
“From the cosmos, a fireball will rise, A harbinger of fate, the world pleads. Science and fate in a cosmic dance, The fate of the Earth, a second chance.” he writes.
Disaster in the Amazon
Not only the world’s end supposedly coming, the astrologer has predicted volcano eruptions and floods in Brazil as climate change continues to be a threat.
“Garden of the world near the new city, In the path of the hollow mountains: It will be seized and plunged into the Tub, forced to drink waters poisoned by sulphur,” he said.
The rise and fall of Aquaman
Last, but not least, is the prediction of a ‘mysterious leader’ emerging to form an ‘aquatic empire’.
I think at this point, we shouldn’t rule out Frozone coming to life after he’s found his ‘super suit’.Featured Image Credit: Getty Stock Images

Astrologer Nostradamus’ extremely worrying predictions for 2024
The late astrologer is said to have made some predictions for 2024
Brace yourself, gang, because late astrologer Nostradamus is said to have made a bunch of predictions about 2024 and it looks like we’re going to be dealing with a lot.
As we say goodbye to 2023, a slew of self-proclaimed psychics have come forward with their own predictions – including one guy who is dubbed ‘the living Nostradamus’, who thinks we’ve got an AI uprising in our not-so-distant future.

But many of those who are hoping to have a glimpse into the future look into the past at this time of year, to try and decipher what ancient mystics, such as Baba Vanga, foresaw in the year 2024.
Sixteenth-century French astrologer Nostradamus – who was given the cheery nickname ‘the prophet of doom’ – may have written his famous text Les Prophéties (The Prophecies) all the way back in 1555, but some people believe it can still offer us plenty of clues about what our future holds.
Although his 942 verses are pretty vague, believers have credited Nostrodamus with all kinds of accurate predictions such as the rise of Adolph Hitler, the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the more recent Covid-19 pandemic. Can see where he got that nickname now, to be fair.
And it looks like there’s more turmoil on the cards for 2024.

(Another) new King
According to British author and Nostradamus commentator Mario Reading, King Charles III will abdicate the throne due to ‘persistent attacks on both himself and his second wife’.
However, it’s also predicted that rather than William stepping into his dad’s shoes, as we would expect, it will actually be Harry.
According to the Daily Mail, the prediction is that the new ‘King of the Isles’ is said to be a man who has ‘no mark of a king’, meaning it’s unlikely to be the heir to throne we would assume.
A naval battle
The late astrologer also predicted a ‘naval battle’ and said that a ‘red adversary will become pale with fear, putting the great ocean in dread’. Sounds dramatic.
Some think the aforementioned ‘red’ could be a hint towards the flag of China, but I have to say, I think we’re clutching at straws here.

Climate change
Climate disaster is also on the cards, but it’s not like we haven’t been warned, is it?
Nostradamus is said to have suggested that for 2024 things will get worse, writing: “The dry earth will grow more parched, and there will be great floods when it is seen.”
He also wrote that storms will cause ‘very great famine through pestiferous wave’.
A new Pope
Catholics could be welcoming a new pope, according to the French astrologer, who wrote: “Through the death of a very old Pontiff, A Roman of good age will be elected, Of him it will be said that he weakens his see, But long will he sit and in biting activity.”

Wildest ‘Living Nostradamus’ predictions for 2024 as first one of the year comes true
Nostradamus’ predictions have been re-interpreted for 2024.
A man dubbed the ‘living Nostradamus’ is predicting the future again and he’s actually got one right this year.
Athos Salomé is the Brazilian parapsychologist who believes he correctly predicted 2020’s global coronavirus pandemic in 2012, and well as the death of the Queen in 2022.
The 37-year-old, considered to be the first ‘paranormal researcher’ in Brazil, is nicknamed after sixteenth-century French astrologer Nostradamus, who is known for his famous 1555 text Les Prophéties (The Prophecies), which is said to have included accurate predictions about the rise of Adolf Hitler and 9/11.
@athos_salome/Instagram
And with 2024 up and running (I can’t believe we’re nearly in April), Salomé has correctly predicted that we’d have ‘three days of darkness’ as a total solar eclipse.
According to the Daily Star, he said this would take place next month due to a coronal mass ejection (CME) from the sun.
CMEs are large expulsions of plasma and magnetic field from the Sun’s corona, according to The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
This happened on 22 March and the effects reached us a couple of days later. It’s thought to have been the largest solar storm in years.
If you’re wondering what else he has predicted, here are Athos Salomé’s 2024 predictions:
A new King
Ever since King Charles’ Coronation in 2023, Salomé said ‘the countdown begins’, which sounded pretty brutal at the time.
However, he claims to have predicted the King’s cancer diagnosis, after revealing his illness in February.
“We will find out if he remains in power between 2024 and 2025,” he said of our 75-year-old King.
World War III
He believes the ‘urgent reality’ is that WWIII is around the corner and claims it will be triggered by an event in China or by a major cyber attack between China and Russia.
I mean, just last week Vladimir Putin threatened Nato with ‘World War 3‘ following his victory speech on 18 March, winning Russia’s presidential race with a record number of votes.
“I think that everything is possible in the modern world,” he told reporters when asked about a possible conflict between the West.
“But I have already said, and it is clear to everyone, that it will be one step away from a full-scale third world war.
“I think hardly anyone is interested in this.”

AI and CCTV privacy
Without giving too much detail, the Brazilian questioned the use of data and how we have a lack of privacy on the web.
He told the Daily Star: “The matrix of modern surveillance symbolises the expanding web of monitoring and control that pervades our world. We are rapidly approaching a reality where privacy becomes a notion granting governments and corporations unparalleled access to individuals personal information.
“I understand that predictions can sometimes feel like something imagined by a mind that goes through moments of emptiness and fullness.”
AI will contact the dead
This seems the most far-fetched, but Salomé insists: “What may have seemed like science fiction years ago is on the brink of becoming a part of everyday life normalising what was once deemed supernatural.
“Through this groundbreaking technology people can not only overcome traumas and challenges but also gain insights into their life purposes and spiritual paths.”
Secret experiments on humans with AI
This also related to the use of AI and how it can be used to ‘experiment’ on humans, but in a good way.
“These groups include individuals, with abilities and giftedness in the realm,” he added.
“The purpose of these tests is to investigate the idea that our existence is not solely based on events but rather a form of energy that continues beyond death. In this perspective Artificial Intelligence serves as more than a tool; it acts as a gateway connecting us to the essence of the universe and potentially providing answers about our cosmic origin.”Featured Image Credit: @athos_salome/Instagram/Getty stock

Baba Vanga and Nostradamus both made the same chilling prophecy for 2025
Baba Vanga and Nostradamus backed up each other’s chilling prediction for 2025
They say two heads are better than one, so just imagine what Baba Vanga and Nostradamus might have been able to achieve if they didn’t miss each other by a few centuries.
Even though the pair – who both claimed to have the ability to predict the future – never met and are no longer here to offer up any pearls of wisdom, they did kindly jot a few things down about what we ought to brace ourselves for.
History of Baba Vanga

Bulgarian mystic Baba Vanga boasts a track record of 85 percent accuracy, so it seems we should really take heed of her terrifying prophecies if we don’t want to get caught short later down the line.
She passed away in August 1996, which is something she saw coming six years in advance, but left us all with a long list of predictions for each of the next 3,056 years to tide us over.
Nostradamus, on the other hand, first wrote down his eerily accurate thoughts on the future in the 1555 book, Les Prophéties, including the September 11 terror attacks, the assassination of President Kennedy, and Hitler’s rise to power.
The French astrologer laid out his visions for what was coming in the form of cryptic poems known as quatrains, and sadly for us lot, he suggested there was some pretty bleak stuff in store for the world.
But even more bizarrely, it seems that both of these supposed fortune tellers seemed to be on the same page about one chilling prophecy, which they expected would turn the world on its head in 2025.
What are the chances, eh?
Baba Vanga reckoned chaos would erupt across Europe in 2025 (Facebook)
The mystics each shared the belief that anarchy is set to erupt at some point next year, and Europe is set to bear the brunt of it, with Baba Vanga backing up the version of events which were first forecast by Nostradamus.
For those who don’t know, the blind mystic made some seriously chilling claims about what is in store for us lot in 2025, while warning these events could go on to trigger a global apocalypse.
One of these incidents is that mainland Europe will be the site of some serious trouble, as another conflict is set to erupt on the continent – as if we don’t have enough to worry about with Ukraine and Russia.
Vanga reckoned that a new war would break out at some point in 2025 between two countries, but the ramifications will ripple across the world – while ‘devastating’ Europe and the people who live there.
You might have usually brushed this off as a load of mumbo jumbo, but it’s not as easy to do that when the one and only Nostradamus has echoed the same sentiment as Vanga too.
He warned that ‘those from the lands of Europe’ would become embroiled in ‘cruel wars’ at some point next year, while adding that the UK will be involved.

Nostradamus chillingly added: “The ancient plague will be worse than enemies.”
But don’t worry, it’s not all bad.
If us lot in Europe do make it through this bloody siege, which is apparently on the cards, Vanga reckoned that we will also get a visit from aliens which coincides with a major sporting event, and as a cherry on top, telepathy will be perfected by 2025.
She also had high hopes for Lewis Hamilton at the World Championships, a feeling that we will be growing humans in labs and a sixth sense that we will discover a new energy source.
No pressure then.
In comparison, Nostradamus believed that although another conflict might be brewing, Russia and Ukraine might finally call it a day in 2025, due to the fact that both armies are ‘exhausted’.
The Frenchman also forecast that Brazil will be rocked by volcanic activity as well as flooding, while the Premier League might be plunged into chaos due to a controversy involving Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace.
Rogue, we know.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the duo might have made a mistake about their 2025 forecast, anyway.Featured Image Credit: Facebook/Getty Stock Photo

Nostradamus predictions for 2024 are as devastating as expected
If his visions for the future turn out to be true then we’re in for a pretty bleak year
I think we can all agree that 2023 has been a rough year.
But unfortunately for us, the bad times are set to continue, at least if Nostradamus has anything to say about it.

Almost half a millennium after his death, Nostradamus remains one of history’s most famous astrologer and reputed seer.
In his 15555 book, Les Propheties, he lays out his visions for the future in the form of cryptic poems known as quatrains.
And, as is often the case, his predictions weren’t very good.
The prophecies set out in the book have been re-read and re-interpreted for centuries, with some believing that Nostradamus’ writings have eerily accurate predictions, claiming that he prophesied the attacks of September 11, the assassination of President Kennedy and Hitler’s rise to power.
And, in his predictions for 2023, he seems to have predicted the cost of living crisis that has affected everything, writing, “So high will the bushel of wheat rise / That man will be eating his fellow man.”
Thankfully the bit about apparent cannibalism has remained largely metaphorical at least (phew).
So, what can we expect from the upcoming year if Nostradamus’ predictions prove to be right again?
Keystone-France/Gamma-Keystone via Getty Images
In one quatrain, he writes: “The dry earth will grow more parched and there will be great floods,” warning elsewhere of a ‘very great famine through pestiferous wave.”
If this is anything to go by, then we could be facing catastrophic events, like tsunamis, in the new year – which doesn’t sound very good.
He also appears to have predicted a confrontation with China, writing a quatrain that opens with a vision of ‘combat and naval battle,’ and says that the ‘Red adversary will become pale with fear / Putting the great Ocean in dread.’
Some believe that the ‘red adversary’ refers to communist China and that the rest is a reference to a confrontation at sea.
Given that China is a global power boasting the largest navy in the world – 350 ships and submarines to be exact – the results of a confrontation could be catastrophic.

And, in a book published in the 2000s, Nostradamus commentator, Mario Reading, interpreted some of Nostradamus’ writing to refer to our current King.
In another quatrain, he refers to someone he calls the ‘King of the Isles,’ who has had a controversial divorce and who is ‘driven out by force.’
Interestingly, he is replaced by ‘one who will have no mark of a king.’
Reading interprets the passage as pointing to King Charles III being forced to abdicate the throne due to ‘persistent attacks on both himself and his second wife,’ and Prince Harry – the man who has ‘no mark of a king’ – taking the crown.
Given the reported relationship between Harry and the rest of the Royal Family, this is probably not likely to happen, but just like Nostradamus’ other predictions, only time will tell.
And, if that’s not enough doom and gloom, Baba Vanga, who also has a pretty good track record for predicting the future, also gave her predictions for 2024 – and it’s pretty terrifying.
