As fans around the world mourn the loss of One Direction star Liam Payne, disturbing images of his Buenos Aires hotel room have provided a stark look at his surroundings before his tragic fall on Wednesday evening.

Liam Payne’s hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was in in a state of disarray, with drug paraphernalia and alcohol present, when he tragically fell to his death on Wednesday.

Amid growing speculation about the former boy band member’s health, a series of images reveals the chaotic condition of his room on the third floor of the CasaSur hotel. 

The photos, confirmed by Argentinian media outlet La Nacion, show a shattered television screen, an unfinished glass of wine and burned aluminium foil alongside powder strewn across surfaces.

On a nearby desk, a green lighter, an empty Dove soap box, a burned candle, more white powder, and foil are visible.

Another photo, showing a dirty bathtub, reveals even more foil and candle remnants.

In the lead-up to Payne’s death, a 911 call made by Casa Sur hotel staff requested “urgent assistance” due to a guest “behaving erratically” and “destroying everything in his room”.

The hotel receptionist followed up with another call, expressing concern: “I don’t know if the guest’s life is in danger,” they said.

“They must be in a room that has a balcony. And well, we’re a little bit worried he’ll do something, that he’ll put his life at risk.”

Local media reported that authorities were dispatched after receiving reports of a “man acting aggressively, potentially under the influence of drugs or alcohol”.
