Over on OnlyFans, she is making six figures a month and not long ago was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame in 2021.

Off-screen, however, the 33-year-old has explained why her feelings on porn have changed throughout the years.

And this includes no longer performing with male co-stars.

She revealed the reason behind the decision in a 2021 episode of Jordyn Jones’ What They Don’t Tell You podcast, opening up about dating difficulties she’d faced due to her career.

When asked if she ever had any boyfriends, Reid said that ‘Dating was really hard’, revealing that prospective partners often had a preconceived idea of who she should be.

“Especially as I grew a name for myself, it was hard to meet someone who [didn’t] know who I was.

“And so there was always that, like, fandom. They met me first in their mind as Riley, so it was really hard to like reverse and teach them that I’m Ashley.”

Reid previously shared on the Impaulsive podcast that one former partner made her feel ‘disgusting’ because of her career.

“He made me feel like maybe I should quit and stuff… He didn’t want to kiss me when I came home from work. So it made me feel like a disgusting person.”

But, while Reid didn’t give up altogether, she did decide to stop shooting ‘boy-girl porn.’

“It was a choice I made on my own,” she said.

“But I made that choice because I was lonely and I wanted love and affection and stuff and I was like, ‘I’m not gonna be able to find this while I’m performing.'”

The star is now married to Latvian free-runner Pasha Petkuns.

The pair got married in 2021 in a private ceremony in Los Angeles, California, and share one daughter together – two-year-old Emma.

Reid has described Petkuns as an ‘amazing husband’.

On Instagram, she wrote: “You’re so present in every moment with both of us and I am so happy to spend everyday with you.”

Adult film star Riley Reid once revealed why she no longer films scenes with male co-stars after years in the business.

Reid, whose real name is Ashley Mathews, got into adult films when she was just 19-years-old and quickly became a beloved name in the porn industry.

The now 32-year-old has won numerous awards for her performances in X-rated films, including Female Performer of the Year at the 2014 XBIZ Awards.

She was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame in 2021 and, the same year, she was estimated to be making six figures a month on OnlyFans.

Riley Reid quickly became a big name in the porn industry after she started filming adult content in 2010.

The 32-year-old, whose real name is Ashley Mathews, was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame in 2021, and has won multiple awards for her performances in x-rated films over the years.

Reid is said to be one of the best paid creators on OnlyFans, making an estimated six figures a month from the subscription service.

Additionally, she makes money via sponsorship deals, public appearances and her job as an adult film actress.

But, her career took a change of direction after the star decided to stop filming porn with men.

Speaking on 2021 episode of Jordyn Jones’ What They Don’t Tell You podcast, Reid opened up about dating difficulties she’d faced due to her career.

“Dating was really hard,” she revealed, sharing that prospective partners often had a preconceived idea of who she should be.

“But I made that choice because I was lonely and I wanted love and affection and stuff and I was like, ‘I’m not gonna be able to find this while I’m performing.'”

But, that hasn’t stopped Reid from earning a pretty penny throughout her adult film career.

According to Caclub India, the performer has an estimated net worth of a whopping $19 million (£15 million).

A massive source of income for Reid is OnlyFans.

She is said to be one of the highest earning creators on the platform raking in $25,000 (£19,900) every day.

She also sells videos on her own website for $35 (£28) a pop, which is estimated to total an annual revenue of $2 million (£1.6 million).

On top of this, the actress also earns $800,000 (£637,000) per year in royalties from other websites and runs her own production company Forbidden Fruits Films.

However, her incredible success isn’t the norm in the porn industry.

Earlier this year, former porn star Lana Rhoades shared the shocking amount she was paid per scene during an appearance on the Curious Mike YouTube talk show.

Despite reaching fame during her eight-month stint in the job, her bank account didn’t reflect her popularity, with the actress making a measly $1,200 (£972) for each scene she filmed.Featured Image Credit: Instagram/@letrileylive

Riley Reid has revealed why she ‘doesn’t love’ shooting pornographic content anymore.

Reid is one of the most well-known faces in the adult industry and has gone on to win over 45 awards, including Female Performer of the Year and the AVN Award for Female Performer of the Year in 2016.

The 33-year-old has been very open and honest about her feelings on porn, having been in the industry since she was 19.

Though as she’s gotten older, it seems her views on the adult industry have changed as she no longer performs with men, and has some regret on her decision to become an adult film actor.

In an April interview on the Shadow Banned podcast, Reid – who became a parent in 2022 – spoke more in depth about how getting married to Pasha Petkuns in 2021 has changed her outlook.

On settling down with her husband and welcoming her daughter, the adult star said: “It’s been really fun, it’s definitely been a different identity process of me trying to figure out who this new version of myself is.

“And so like I remember having my identity crisis when I was in porn, being like ‘who am I?’ and like ‘what is this?’.

“And so now I’m trying to renavigate myself within, trying to parent as well as be like a business person and so that’s been really interesting.”

Explaining why she no longer loves shooting porn, Riley added: “Yeah, as well as like trying to adapt to the adult world because, to be honest, I don’t love shooting content now that I have like a c-section scar cos it puts like a date and a time stamp.”

She continued to say: “I don’t care, but like I only care in the sense of where I worry that if it bothers her (daughter) in the future then it’s going to bother me.

“If it doesn’t bother her, then it doesn’t bother me but I’m like, I know that there’s a time stamp so I can’t lie and be like ‘that was all before you’.”

Riley has always been open in interviews about her career and during an appearance on It’s Daniel Mac in 2022, the actor also opened up about her going-rate over the years.Play

“I kept my rate up at like over five, like it was like five to 10k, for you know kind of dependant on the month and where I was, I was like ‘okay I’ll take some more a**, we could lower my rate’ and I’m like ‘uh let’s raise it up because I’ve shot a lot recently’,” she said.

“So like when you see your first a***, your first DP and your first g***bang, a lot of times you can get a good chunk of chains.

“Sometimes girls can get like 10k, sometimes they can get 15 to 20.

“So it kind of like depends on like what you do, like if you do a featured movie, you might be able to get like 30,000 if you shoot like a few scenes or whatever.”Featured Image Credit: Instagram/@letrileylive/YouTube/Shadow Banned

X owner Elon Musk clearly isn’t phased by the odd naked buttocks or two as the platform has issued a new statement on its ‘adult content’ policy.

Over the past few years, OnlyFans creators have used the likes of X to promote their explicit content, including nude imagery, sex scenes and X-rated videos.

Meanwhile, conservative political commentator Candace Owens has recently shared the view that platforms like X is not a place for pornography.

Last month, she called porn ‘a psychological weapon intended to weaken our men’.

A Belgian regulator has also argued that online platforms, like X, should not have adult content on it.

Karim Ibourki, who leads Belgium’s French-speaking audiovisual council, said: “We’re up against giants that still don’t give a damn. That is the reality.”

Amid calls to ban explicit content from the platform, X has updated us with its new policy.

It said: “You may share consensually produced and distributed adult nudity or sexual behaviour, provided it’s properly labeled and not prominently displayed.

“We believe that users should be able to create, distribute, and consume material related to sexual themes as long as it is consensually produced and distributed.

“Sexual expression, whether visual or written, can be a legitimate form of artistic expression.

“We believe in the autonomy of adults to engage with and create content that reflects their own beliefs, desires, and experiences, including those related to sexuality.”

It continued: “We balance this freedom by restricting exposure to Adult Content for children or adult users who choose not to see it.

“We also prohibit content promoting exploitation, non consent, objectification, sexualization or harm to minors, and obscene behaviours.

“We also do not allow sharing Adult Content in highly visible places such as profile photos or banners.”

The social media platform said that it defines adult content as ‘any consensually produced and distributed material depicting adult nudity or sexual behaviour that is pornographic or intended to cause sexual arousal’.

“This also applies to AI-generated, photographic or animated content such as cartoons, hentai, or anime,” X said.

In a bid to stop children from accessing adult content, X has asked its creators to ‘please adjust your media settings’.

“Doing so places all your images and videos behind a content warning that needs to be acknowledged before your media can be viewed,” it added.

“You can also add a one-time content warning on individual posts. If you continue to fail marking your posts, we will adjust your account settings for you.

“Users under 18 or viewers who do not include a birth date on their profile cannot click to view marked content.”

X said that users ‘may begin to see new media content warnings on posts that X has designated as containing Adult Content (instead of a generic sensitive media label)’.
